You know, sometimes you just have to book yourself the big gigs once in a while just to make sure you're still on the right path. Nothing against the farmer's markets and corner busking, but sometimes you just need to share your vocals to the finer diners. The London Chop House is just "oozing with history". Just found out it was considered one of the top 10 restaurants in the 60's by THE James Beard. Yah sure that's a long time ago, but that wouldn't stop this classy joint from keeping up with the times. Sure it's still located in the basement on Congress, but it's guests have included everyone from Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Hoffa to Kid Rock and Barbara Streisand (likely on Barbara tip.. she used to perform at what was the caucus club across the street back when her career was just beginning) and everyone who's everyone else has popped on by at least once for a special meal.
When a bunch of hard drinkin, music lovin good people decide to put together a festival..just for the heck..or HELL of it, you just know it's gon be a good time. I mean.. it's live music, bbq, friends you don't know offerin you shots, and it's all in HELL (Michigan that is)!!! I can't wait!!!

P.S. This is kinda a private event...but it's annual, so get to know those involved!
Black Lotus Brewery in Clawson is known as one of the BEST open mic nights out of town and I have to say it's all because of Mr. Steve bad joke Szjana! The host of the evening strumming his guitar with the rest of em is just so easy going... no big egos on this stage or through out the evening. So when he asked us to be the featured performer for the evening we just had to take him up on it..
You see the morgan/ woodman catalog consists of enough original material that we're recording an album! The process begins in October, but we can get all the practice in before hand and really get to know these songs. Sooo.. bring your guitar, your vibraslap, or your drum sticks and get ready for a night of original music
Who doesn't love a weekend festival? And now you add dogs to the situation?!?! I'm in!! This weekend raises money for local shelters, offers safe adoptions, and PLENTY of vendors for our 4 legged family members! Oh yah.. music and Tito's too. Oh.. wait.. how could I forget.. there's an air dog jumping competition?!?
If any city on this planet knows how to make music, it has got to be Detroit. And so I'm pretty psyched to be backing Joe Jaber (pronounced jabber) on some vocals at The Ford Stage next to Music Hall for Detroit Music Weekend. We go on at 2 sharp for a short set, but the day consists of performances from Jeff Daniels and The Jacksons to local feministas Audra Kubat and Stffanie Chris'tian! Happy to be right in the middle of it all..

Well Bruce and I have performed at the Birmingham Farmer's Market and always have a blast, so we're making the rounds.. This time things are a bit switched up. The city of Troy has their farmer's market available on Fridays, which I kinda love... no waking at the crack o dawn to get those fresh eggs... instead stroll on by after work and get your groceries before the weekend begins! Look for us around the Troy Public Library.
There's just something about O'mara's that perfectly defines Berkley. Could it be the secret fairy door (kid friendly), or the fabulous women's bathroom (no joke... see it to believe it) or maybe the balance of a good bar along and delicious meals in the dining room (regulars everywhere!). And along with all of that, an outdoor patio that combines everything with LIVE MUSIC!!
Well Susie and I are still on a high for being nominated for Outstanding Modern Jazz Group for the Detroit Music Awards and we can't wait to share with you what we do!! We promise, singalongs, kazoo solos, originals tunes, and a couple guest vocalists joining us!
Stop on by, or make a reservation for a (table near the band).

If you want the best audience. The kind that is attentive. The kind of audience that warms your heart. Well then you simply must perform for a senior center. I never regret it!!
I'm performing with Joe on Channel 7 to help promote Detroit Music Weekend. This will be our 4th time on TV!! (the camera must love us!)
Catch us live the following week...

Where can you find 2 of the nicest people in Berkley, Michigan? Why The Neighbor Shoppe of course. The Berkley Art Bash is a yearly event that brings out the families and Troy and Donna are joining in the festivities... WITH LIVE MUSIC! Bruce and I are performing and it's gonna be a blast and just in case you are parched, The Neighbor Shoppe offers finer wines and craftier beers!

Bruce has recently recorded an EP and the songs are just lovely. They are true to the heart and take you to places with grassy knolls and summer breezes... wondering what the heck I'm writin about? Well stop on by the cutest lil brewery in Northville to find out. Bruce is having his release party and has invited me to join and do what we do.
There are so many super star musicians in the Detroit area, but few have stuck around, and fewer still perform! So honored to be on Scott's most recent album and so happy that he has enough health in him to keep pushin on!

If it weren't for Kat... well who knows... She was the first to ask me if I was interested in performing as a Backup Vocalist.. HECK YAH..where do I sign Ms. Orlando?? Any who.. since then Kat's been rocking it and she's having a CD release party in Berkley...and boy oh boy is she gonna FUNK U UP!! With guests like Nadir Omawale and Piranahead, let alone the talented band that backs Kat up... I'm psyched to be asked to join!!
It always feels good to play music to help raise money for someone in need... here's what Joe has to say...
"Hello everyone come on out on 4/20 for this great friend and musician James Newsome. We will be playing an acoustic set along with Social Bones. Melissa Fogt has done an amazing job for this event. Any friends that want to donate auction items or gift baskets please contact Melissa @ 313-608-9098. Please keep praying for James and his family!"

I know Erik cuz he's interviewed me on his internet radio station CRB (Cave Radio). But you should know Eric cuz he has helped to raise money for families down on their luck, the Redford Relay for Life, and multiple Autism Awareness events. It's unfortunate that he has been having some health issues and so now it's time to "help the helper".

You may have seen us at the Birmingham Farmer's Market, and just as we're making the brewery tour, we thought we might try to tag on to the market circuit as well! Catch us this Saturday in Royal Oak!

Yes we're working on the brewery circuit around town, so why not visit our local wine pubs as well. Catch us at Michigan By The Bottle in Auburn Hills for some locally made juice made from grapes ;)
It's The Public House Cocktail Hour and the best vocalists in town are performing to the fashionable 9 mile foodies. We're pretty honored to be alongside them and don't mind partaking in whatever fancy dessert they have to offer as well!

Sooooo last year I said I wouldn't perform in any additional projects, but I was offered a project i couldn't refuse. It's pretty much all I've dreamed about since moving to Michigan and our premiere performance is at the Hamtramck Music Festival!!! Go big or go home I guess.
Heather Mac (my sister from another mister) opens up with her solo performance followed by my mom, Sandy Mulligan and I doin what we do. IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR, and I can't wait. These are the performances that you remember!
Would you like to schedule a private holiday party, an evening soiree with friends, or even the cocktail at your wedding with LIVE music.... Booking: email@example.com
What an honor to work with a Detroit music icon on his latest release "Rough & Ready". Not familiar with his name, check out his wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Morgan_(musician)
Scott Morgan worked along side Eddie Baranek ( The Sights, The Scrappers) to create an original album with tunes that range from sweet lullabies to twistin rockers. I recorded on all 10 songs with quite an amazing band. We get to do it for ya live on Dec at The Loving Touch with Tino G's Dumpster Machine and The Stomp Rockets.
